1: I've done fine in school-, kept up with my class.
I made Honor Roll- this semester.
And now, I'm expected to go to college.
But I'm not a co-ed. No-, I am a nester.

EXTENSION:

2: I want to stay here-. I like family.
I don't want to leave- our- small town.
So, spare me the scolding to fulfill my life,
to challenge myself- or to start buckling down-.

BRIDGE:
I have an idea for contentment right here:
A bookstore, a husband, some kids and a home.
And who is to judge if my dream's good enough?
Or decide whether I need to roam-?
