[JONATHAN] How can I stay sane in a world like this?
[SHARI] Planes flying into skyscrapers?
What's that about?
[DALE] I'm all the time either up or down.
[JONATHAN] Did you hear the prediction?
The world is going to end.

2: Electric Piano
[ADEENO] Wars over what? Religion? Right!
That makes sense.
[ZACHARY] Taxes. Millionaires evade them.
[TABITHA] & then there are the homeless & no shelters.
[STUDENT] Watching over our shoulders
for the next terrorist attack.
[OTHER STUDENT] Will it come from the left or the right,
the sky or the water?
[ANOTHER STUDENT] Or maybe it will come in your mail.

3: Organ
[OTHER STUDENT] My mom was keeping it a secret
about the lump in her breast.
Then Mom's car broke down
so she needed a ride to the doctor's.
I made her tell me what was up.
& now I have to deal with her maybe not making it.

INTERLUDE:

4: Guitar 1A
[JONATHAN] Drive-by shootings.
Not like your old Sunday drive.
[DEZHA] It seems like people are dying all around us.
And if they aren't, they're having major surgery.
[TABITHA] Must be the galaxy ...
cosmic karma or something.
I wish it would stop.
[MAGGIE+ADEENO] I'm not supposed to feel this way.
I'm a kid.
[ALL] (hysterical laughter) Insane changes!
